Daily pedigree rankings for UK & Irish maidens & novices
About PedigreeScore
I've been posting racing tips and analysis on the internet for twenty years — from the early forum days through to social media, and everything in between. In that time I've developed a pretty clear sense of where the edges are in betting markets and where they aren't.
One area I kept coming back to was pedigree analysis in Maiden and Novice races. The information exists — sire statistics, dam production records, distance aptitude — but piecing it together manually before a race means clicking between multiple sites, cross-referencing data, and often running out of time before the off. I was missing things: Good things! Well-bred horses at decent prices that the market hadn't fully caught up with yet.
So I built PedigreeScore for myself. It pulls every Maiden and Novice race each morning and scores every runner on sire quality, dam production record, distance match and overall strike rate. The strongest pedigrees sit at the top of each race, highlighted, with the scoring broken down so you can see exactly why a horse has ranked where it has.
On the first day I ran it live, it flagged Kittys Glance as the top-rated pedigree in the 3:15 at Huntingdon — A Grade, 73/100 — at an overnight price of 7/1. The market backed her into 11/8 by race time. She won on the stands rail.
That's not a guarantee of anything. Racing doesn't work like that and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. But it's a reasonable demonstration of what pedigree analysis can surface — value that exists in the data before the money finds it.
PedigreeScore is free. It always will be. There are no tips here, no subscriptions, no affiliate links. Just pedigree data ranked visually, every morning, for anyone who finds it useful.
If you want my actual analysis and selections, that's what Banker.Tips is for. You can subscribe to that for free and get my interpretation of the data.
